Community Guidelines
Buzz works because strangers show up for each other. These guidelines keep it that way.
Last updated · July 2026
Our promise
Buzz is where people come to meet new people to date, make friends, or just find someone to talk to. Everyone deserves to do that feeling safe and respected. These guidelines apply to every chat, call, profile, and event on the platform.
Be respectful
Treat everyone with kindness. Disagreement is fine; disrespect isn't. Hate speech, discrimination, and degrading comments about anyone's identity have no place here.
No harassment
Harassment, bullying, threats, and unwanted advances are not tolerated. If someone asks you to stop, stop. “No” is a complete sentence on Buzz.
Be authentic
Be yourself. Impersonating others, catfishing, and running fake or duplicate accounts undermine the entire community and will get you removed.
Respect privacy
Don't share other people's personal information, photos, recordings, or conversations without their explicit consent, on or off the platform.
Keep it legal, keep it safe
- No sexual content involving minors. See our Child Safety Policy. Zero tolerance.
- No spam, scams, pyramid schemes, or fraud of any kind.
- No promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- Meet in public places first and tell someone you trust when taking connections offline.
Report what you see
Every profile, chat, and call has a one-tap report option. Reports are reviewed by our trust & safety team, and reporting is always confidential.
Consequences
Depending on severity, violations lead to warnings, feature restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. Illegal activity is escalated to law enforcement where appropriate.
